Nicolas Lacroix - Trop Gentil - Tournée

Nicolas Lacroix is too nice, and he readily admits it. He also likes making people happy and making them laugh; it has always been that way.

Since primary school, where he reproduced sketches he had seen on television, he has dreamed of the stage. It is through social media that he would get there. Encouraged by his loved ones, he posted a first video on Tik Tok, which was an instant hit. A year and a half later, more than one and a half million people follow him every day. Because he believes more in hard work than in talent, he takes his time, and it is finally GuiHome that takes him on stage by producing his first show. It centres on a boy who is too nice, who cannot say no but has plenty to say about it. Looking at the world, talking about what he knows, turning his coming out into comedy, worrying about the future of the language once Wejdene has taken the place of Baudelaire, imagining a virtual assistant acting as a psychologist. Always reaching the same conclusion, the one that has existed since the dawn of time: things were better before. Nicolas embraces his slightly old-fashioned side, that of a nostalgic young man caught up in a world that moves too fast. Without seeming to, he says a great deal about the anxieties of his generation. Today, even though social media occupies an important place, he knows that an artist is not made in a day, and he dreads exploding mid-flight. No question of resting on his laurels, especially if they are virtual. So he keeps on working, again and again, to earn every laugh and every round of applause, and he loves it.
