Pietragalla Barbara

A VIBRANT TRIBUTE TO AN UNFORGETTABLE ARTIST. Marie-Claude Pietragalla, celebrated dancer and choreographer, transforms on stage to embody the legendary singer Barbara.

In this masterful show, she becomes the living reflection of the musical icon, drawing the audience into the singer's poetic, melancholic world. Through every movement, every gesture and every expression, Pietragalla reveals the depth of the emotions that defined Barbara's music.

Her dance becomes a vibrant language, translating the singer's iconic words and melodies. Memories, joys and sorrows take shape in every step, offering the audience a unique visual and emotional experience. "An October evening at the Châtelet. Unforgettable!

An artist's dressing room… Her hand in mine, that wild, enigmatic presence. On stage, she flies, she takes off. From her piano to her rocking chair, she savours every instant, every breath, the silence of a hall vibrating in unison.

Her slender silhouette dressed in black, that walk like a ballerina on demi-pointe, she watches her audience, an audience already won over.

She breathes on stage for hours before the curtain rises, taking the pulse of an audience that is fantasised about, loved, desired… The stage is her refuge, where every boundary dissolves, where darkness becomes light, where time bends, where life's realities are transformed in the chiaroscuro of the spotlights.

Barbara knows that detail shapes difference, that stepping on stage is both a joy and a suffering, and leaving it, a heartbreak. But already, the road calls again for a new adventure, a new blank page to colour in, the thrill of feeling alive.

The notes of music trace out a score where sighs dance, where silences dance. " Choreography and direction Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault Musiqu
