In Marseille, families bereaved by drug trafficking are fighting to obtain justice and make their voices heard. Screening of Jusqu’à notre dernier souffle, followed by a discussion with its protagonists.

Atika, Karima, and Laetitia are fighting for justice. These three women from Marseille have all lost a loved one in murders linked to drug trafficking. Following these tragedies, all three have encountered institutional and media violence.

To obtain a response from the justice system and put an end to these tragedies, they campaign within the Collective of Families of Victims. Etienne Bonnot is a journalist in Marseille.

Witnessing the dozens of murders linked each year to drug trafficking, he felt the need to tell this reality by giving a voice to those directly affected: the families of victims. He is the creator of the documentary Jusqu’à notre dernier souffle.

Karima Meziène is a lawyer at the Marseille bar and former spokesperson for the Collective of Families of Victims.

After losing her brother in a score-settling incident in 2016, she got involved alongside families of victims of drug trafficking to make their voices heard and demand justice. She is one of the subjects in the documentary Jusqu’à notre dernier souffle.

Matthieu Bidan is the editor-in-chief of the video department at StreetPress. He will host and moderate the discussion following the screening.
