Reverse

Axel Loubette, choreographer, dancer and paraglider, brings his eco-political commitment together with demanding choreographic research.

By confronting six dancer-acrobats with the force of the wind, he traces an extraordinary march, loosely inspired by the writings of Vandana Shiva, the Indian ecofeminist, and by the writer Alain Damasio.

The choreography becomes an act of creative disobedience, a form of social and ecological struggle embodied through the movement of united bodies.

The title Reverse evokes both the Latin versus, meaning both « towards  » and « against  », and the idea of a poetic discourse (« verse  ») filling our current lack of dialogue.

It asks whether we can « reverse  » the destruction of nature and breathe new life into our collective imagination.
