Born from the underground hardcore scene of Duisburg, SLOPE blends heavy grooves, raw energy and late 80s/early 90s crossover spirit, in the lineage of Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
After early strongly rooted hardcore beginnings (Helix, Losing Grip), the band widens its spectrum with Street Heat (2021), an explosive blend of funk, hip-hop, grunge and groove, praised for its fun and unpretentious side.
This period also marks a strong visual turn, between pushed DIY and assumed artistic concepts. With Freak Dreams (2024), SLOPE takes a leap: sharp songwriting, more ample production and a crossover that transcends genre boundaries.
The album propels them onto major European stages (Wacken, Hellfest, Summer Breeze, Resurrection Fest…) and touring with Body Count, Lionheart, Madball, among others. The new album The Same Kids Just Louder (2026) condenses their DNA: raps & riffs, funk & flow, hooks & heaviness.
A more direct, more readable sound, but still as nervous and playful. Same energy, even louder. The Same Kids Just Louder — it's not a slogan. It's the definition.
