Overview
MARKO HIETALA
is a well-known and respected name in the metal scene, and a byword for quality for more than four decades
HIETALA
has not only shaped but also helped define the sound of today's rock and metal. Whether as a founding member of the heavy metal band TAROT, as an essential member of the supergroup SINERGY (alongside exceptional talents such as Alexi Laiho), or as one of the key figures of the world's biggest symphonic metal band, NIGHTWISH, his thunderous basslines and rich voice have resounded in the most famous venues in the world and at legendary festivals. Needless to say, despite all these achievements, new solo adventures were calling him...When it comes to an artist with infinite talent and an voracious musical passion, the release of a self-titled album is only ever a matter of time. In the case of MARKO HIETALA, it has taken a certain amount of time, but better late than never. His long-awaited first solo album, "Mustan sydämen rovio", was released in spring 2019 (later reissued in English under the title "Pyre of the Black Heart"), and it has since given way to "Roses from the Deep", his second album, released in February 2025.
