is a known and recognized name in the metal sphere and synonymous with quality for more than four decades
HIETALA
has not only shaped, but also helped define the current rock and metal sound. Whether as a founding member of the heavy metal band TAROT, as an essential member of the supergroup SINERGY (alongside exceptional talents such as Alexi Laiho) or as one of the key figures of the world's largest symphonic metal band, NIGHTWISH. Needless to say, his thundering bass lines and rich voice have resonated in the world's most famous venues and legendary festivals. However, despite all these achievements, new solo adventures call to him... When it comes to an artist with infinite talent and devouring musical passion, the release of a solo album is never just a matter of time. In the case of MARKO HIETALA, it took a while, but better late than never. His long-awaited first solo album, 'Mustan sydämen rovio', was released in spring 2019 (later re-released in English as 'Pyre of the Black Heart') which makes way for 'Roses from the Deep', his second opus released in February 2025.
