"I can't help it. The blank page doesn't scare me. A piano stool is often the only place where the world ceases to be too noisy, too complex. A guitar resting on the lap helps when everything becomes too fast, too heavy.
Then harmonies emerge, melodies over lyrics by writer friends Philippe Djian and Martin Suter. And then I play these musical seeds to other friends. They start playing with me, pushing me to record them, and other musicians come to add themselves, other hands too.
And suddenly, these songs come to life.
They become an album, find their title: Gold Dust… It's time to share them - like warm bread placed at the centre of a table, where I've always dreamed of hearing them resonate: the Olympia in Paris, the Cirque Royal in Brussels, the Volkshaus in Zurich.
