THE OPERA LOCOS
With more than 200,000 spectators won over, The Opera Locos returns to Paris for a 9th season, just as... MAD! Five eccentric opera singers come together for a recital. A unique performance begins, carried by these five characters whose voices defy the Gods through a surprising sequence of the most famous arias from opera (Mozart's The Magic Flute, Bizet's Carmen, Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffmann, Puccini's Nessun Dorma / Turandot...), spiced up with a few borrowings from pop. But the stage soon proves too small to hold such great egos in search of love, revealing each one's hidden passions and desires... Slapstick situations and emotionally charged interpretations follow one another without a dull moment in this comic musical show that will delight the whole family.
Performed by five opera singers, THE OPERA LOCOS humorously revisits the greatest opera 'hits' live, with respect for the music and the classical discipline.
