Overview
A declaration of love, an argument, a promise. After their first show ÂME-OUR, Hajare & Arthur continue their exploration of intimacy with ZWAJ, which means "marriage" in Arabic.
On stage as in life, they are partners. They dance, fight, search for each other, lose each other and find each other again. ZWAJ asks what it means to unite: between the dream of "yes for life" and the reality of compromise, between the euphoria of the celebration, between the ideal of love and the tensions of everyday life. Through physical, theatrical and poetic dance, the duo plays with clichés and subverts rituals to reveal their strength, their fragility and their humour.
A journey in which marriage becomes a playground, a battleground, and shared hope.
