Overview
Winner of the Prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo 2026-2027, Céleste Richard-Zimmermann sets out to explore a shared world in ruins, where symbols of power are coming apart. An irreverent reflection on our world.
Since 2008, the Association des Amis du Palais de Tokyo has awarded a prize to an emerging artist in order to support and promote contemporary artistic creation in France.
The winning proposal for this edition, by Céleste Richard-Zimmermann, is a reflection on symbols of power centred on a broken, hollow and unstable column.
Sculptures, fragments and sound installations make up a space shaped by gestures of destruction and transformation, where the memory and future of our buildings are replayed, questioning resistance and the circulation of forms.
