Viril(e.s)

Five women (or almost) burst onto the stage with raw honesty. One by one, then together, they break silences, unearth the intimate, shatter taboos in a funny and offbeat way, and make resonate what we dare not say.

VIRIL(E·S) starts from an intimate and collective observation: behind displays of strength, behind silences and postures, there is often an unspoken need for love.

Marie Mahé here questions this masculinity that shows itself, that is performed, that sometimes imposes itself, like a suit of armour. Not to condemn it, but to explore its cracks, its wounds, its origins.

Masculinity is not only a matter of gender; it is also a social construction deeply tied to its context: the family environment, peer pressure, precarity, invisible inheritances.

The show attempts to stretch a thread between generations, between social backgrounds, between identities. To say that, despite our differences, we all share the same need: to be loved, recognised, and welcomed as we are. com
