Overview
Acid Arab at Le Krakatoa
If you like Taxi Kebab, KasbaH, Red Axes…
Born in the club scene and cultural crossovers of Paris, Acid Arab has created a musical territory where machines engage in dialogue with the voices, rhythms and imaginaries of the Arab world, the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean. Their aesthetic takes shape through powerful electronics, running through forms of trance, folk songs, percussion, acid lines and melodies from elsewhere. Acid Arab's distinctiveness lies in its determination to let the machines and the musical sources it draws on coexist with equal intensity, in order to create a genuine shared language.
