Overview
Grammy Award nominees Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martinez captivate and electrify their audiences. A classically trained pianist, Rodriguez was schooled in the classical tradition of the Havana conservatory. His musical language is as much nourished by Bach and Stravinsky as by Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz. Martinez, for his part, taught himself music in the Cayo Hueso neighbourhood, in the heart of Old Havana. An exceptional Cuban duo, and an essential name on today's Latin jazz scene.
Programme: Compositions from the album Duologue and from Alfredo Rodriguez's album ¡Take Cover!, plus reworkings of pop and Cuban classics
