Overview
Presented by uGo&Play and the Yellow Socks Orchestra (L-R-22-10622 and L-R-22-10620). Come and celebrate one of the greatest composers of all time at the Amadeus cine-concert on Saturday 22 May 2027 at the Palais des Congrès de Paris.
For almost three hours, the 90 musicians and choir singers of the Yellow Socks Orchestra & Choir will perform Mozart's most iconic works live, in perfect sync with the film's projection (with English subtitles) on the big screen.
Winner of 8 Oscars® in 1984 (including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay), Milos Forman's masterpiece is a cinematic triumph.
Amadeus is a sumptuous period film, a celebration of the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, elevated live by the power of the symphony orchestra and choir!
Adapted from Peter Shaffer's play, the film Amadeus stays true to it, perfectly capturing the contrast between "the sublimity of Mozart's music and the vulgar buffoonery of his letters, which seem to have been written by an eight-year-old".
"Amadeus tells a fable as beautiful as it is tragic (…) There's blood, a pact with God, fame, a masked stranger, a murder, and pieces of music that rank among the best ever written. " (The Guardian).
"Close to perfection" (USA Today) Film synopsis Amadeus tells the story of the Viennese court composer Antonio Salieri and the jealousy that consumes him when he discovers that the divine musical gifts he had dreamed of all his life have instead been bestowed upon a young, crude, vulgar and mischievous composer, Mozart.
Salieri's jealousy drives him to want to destroy this man, while being unable to tear himself away from the genius of his music. Amadeus LIVE is an Avex Classics International production. The film AMADEUS is licensed by THE SAUL ZAENTZ COMPANY.
Amadeus LIVE is presented by uGo&Play.
