Antoine Prat is an apart pianist in the new generation. In constant pursuit of the right colour and phrasing, he builds singular musical architectures through carefully arranged programmes.
Artist in residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth, he comes to present a programme of great expressive power. Scarlatti's melodic purity introduces Mozart's highly operatic Sonata No.
14, then the Four Sketches cycle by American composer Amy Beach, inspired by verses of French romantic poetry. Prat will take on another narrative challenge in meeting the Everest that Schubert's Sonata No. 20 represents. Full programme included. Performed by Antoine Prat (piano).
