Overview
Hi, we're Blood Red Shoes, a duo composed of Laura-Mary Carter (guitar and vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums and vocals). For over two decades we've existed, just the two of us, making records, touring the world, building our own little universe for those wanting to join us.
We love calling ourselves a rock band because it means almost nothing, which makes us laugh, partly because in reality we absolutely are a rock band.
In 2026, we're releasing our first new music in four years, entirely written, produced, and mixed by ourselves, which we're quite proud of.
We're heading back for our first tour since our 20th anniversary concerts in 2024: we'll traverse the UK and Europe with a set filled with songs from all our albums plus loads of new pieces. Our concerts will be as loud as your country's laws allow us to be.
