Overview
Cage Fight – Exuvia marks a new stage for the band. With the arrival of bassist Will Horsman, the group deepened its songwriting and enriched its hardcore with more melodies, atmospheres and experimentation, while keeping its brutal energy.
The album is also very personal: Rachel Aspe wrote the lyrics for eight tracks, drawing on trauma, anxiety, grief, violence and her grandmother's illness. Exuvia, meaning the skin shed during a moult, thus symbolises the transformation and healing of the band and of Rachel.
