Overview
DECLAN WELSH AND THE DECADENT WEST (UK Rock): Declan Welsh and the Decadent West are back.
After a break devoted to writing their third album, the Glasgow band returns this autumn with more than 25 dates in the United Kingdom and Europe, from St Luke's in their home city to Badehaus in Berlin, passing through The Grace in London and Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, to promote their new album Explicit Agitation, which will be released in September 2026.
Led by singer-songwriter Declan Welsh, the band today brings together a changing line-up of friends and musicians, alongside long-standing bassist Ben Corlett. They have built a reputation on explosive live performances and lyrics that are as striking as they are moving.
Their debut album, *Cheaply Bought, Expensively Sold*, was nominated for Scottish Album of the Year; their second release established them as an essential act, both on record and in concert.
