Calema

Duo Calema take to the stage at Arkea Arena to present their Lusophone-influenced world music compositions.

The duo Calema proudly fly the flag for world music, drawing their influences from Cape Verdean and São Toméan culture. Formed by brothers Fradique and António, the group first made a name for themselves thanks to polished vocal melodies and afro-pop-infused rhythms. Their tracks combine acoustic arrangements with modern electronic production, establishing an instantly recognisable sound signature on the international scene.

On stage, the outfit deliver a remarkably generous set, driven by precise vocal harmonies and a clear bond between the two artists. The instrumental accompaniment highlights the warmth of the compositions, creating a direct connection with the audience. This evening at Arkea Arena is particularly aimed at fans of contemporary island-infused music and listeners curious to discover a repertoire sung in Portuguese and Creole, all within a venue sized for major touring events.
