About — The venue

The Arkéa Arena is the large event venue linked to the Bordeaux concert agenda on concerts.paris. It is located on Avenue Jean Alfonséa, in Floirac — outside the centre of Bordeaux, which means you need to plan your journey in advance.

Its programming is typical of a very large capacity venue: national and international tours, with a clear dominance of French chanson and variety, followed by comparable shares of pop-rock and rap. Additionally, there are comedy dates, some electro nights, and large-scale shows. Approximately a quarter of the announced events fall under live performance rather than concerts, which is common for this type of venue: the arena hosts whatever fills its seats, regardless of genre.

The pricing reflects this model. The observed range for upcoming dates is one of the widest in the catalogue: very low entry tickets for certain family shows coexist with the tour prices of headliners. Again, the useful information is found on the concert's specific page, not on the venue's page.

Practically, two things are worth remembering for an evening at the Arkéa Arena. First, check the exact time on the event page: in very large venues, door opening and show start times are often significantly staggered. Second, book via the link on the event page, which points to the official ticket office or the partner selling the date — this is the only way to be sure of the actual price, as large-capacity seats are valued very unevenly depending on their location.

On the website, the Arkéa Arena is linked to the Bordeaux agenda: it therefore appears in the lists, filters, and city map, just like venues in the city centre. This is useful for comparing an arena show with what's playing on the same evening in a smaller venue — the same artist rarely plays both, but the evening itself still needs to be chosen.
