Calva Louise

The British rock band Calva Louise takes over the Parisian stage of O'Sullivans Backstage by the Mill for an intense concert.

Formed in London in 2016, Calva Louise brings together singer Jess Allanic, drummer Ben Parker and bassist Alizon Taho. Their musical identity has taken shape over four albums, beginning with the release of Rhinoceros in 2019. The trio's artistic approach stands out for its multilingual outlook and raw energy, blending direct rock structures with sonic textures fuelled by metal and punk influences. This head-on approach gives their songwriting a distinctive momentum that runs through their various recordings.

On stage, Calva Louise deploys a streamlined trio format, where each instrument contributes to a compact, punchy set. The band's performances are characterised by direct physical commitment and sustained tension from the first track to the last. The closeness to the audience, aided by the layout of the O'Sullivans Backstage by the Mill venue, makes it possible to fully appreciate the precision of their instrumental execution and the vocal power that characterises all of their compositions on this tour.
