Carmen - Abou LAgraa et 'Opéra de Tunis

Abou LAgraa and L'Opéra de Tunis With Carmen, Abou Lagraa offers a contemporary choreographic reinterpretation of Georges Bizet's emblematic work, performed by the dancers of the Ballet de l'Opéra de Tunis.

Straddling dance and opera, this creation revisits the Carmen myth, placing the power of the body and dramatic intensity at the forefront.

Through a choreographic language that is both organic and incisive, Abou Lagraa explores the work's fundamental tensions: desire, freedom, domination... breaking away from traditional narrative codes to favour a sensory and physical approach.

The stage becomes a space of confrontation where the performers embody, with great intensity, the impulses and contradictions of the characters.

A major figure of the contemporary dance scene, Abou Lagraa has for several years developed a demanding body of work, nourished by dialogue between cultures and aesthetics.

His collaboration with the Opéra de Tunis is part of a dynamic of transmission and openness, bringing together performers from different backgrounds around an ambitious artistic project.

An accessible and powerful work, capable of reaching a wide audience while offering a renewed reading of a great classic of the repertoire. Reduced-mobility (PMR) booking: 0148285353
