Les Automnales au 10e

With Les Automnales, the Hector Berlioz Conservatoire launches a new cultural event that will mark the start of every season, from September to November. True to its mission, the conservatoire affirms its role as a place of life, creation and artistic dissemination, open to all.

Carnaval

Beyond the festive, colourful parades of today's carnivals, it is a collective imagination made of dreams, mystical masks, fantastical characters, dance and moments of communion that the Quatuor Isar wishes to bring to the fore. The carnival is a means for the artists to share with the audience works from the classical repertoire alongside new arrangements for saxophone quartet.

With the aim of creating a genuine artistic universe, this programme allows the Quatuor Isar to collaborate with a range of artists such as costume designers, make-up artists, hairdressers, photographers, graphic designers, orchestras, artistic directors, arrangers and composers.

This journey through the world of carnivals presents masterpieces in unprecedented versions and introduces audiences to the repertoire and colours of the saxophone quartet.

The Quatuor Isar is a saxophone quartet formed in 2021 within the Nantes Conservatoire. Antoine, Casilde, Nino and Élie met during their S2TMD baccalauréat at the Nelson Mandela lycée. All four are students in the classical saxophone class, training in chamber music with their teacher Nicolas Herrouët, as well as with Ludovic Frochot and Jean-Yves Chevalier.

In 2022, the quartet won the international competition in Carquefou. Having repeatedly been noticed at conservatoire competitions, it was programmed for the Heures Musicales du Jeudi and for the season of Angers Nantes Opéra at the Théâtre Graslin. Since its beginnings, the Quatuor Isar has been fortunate to refine its artistry under the guidance of the Quatuor Ellipsos.
