With this concert, the Isar quartet explores the different carnivals around the world, from Venice to Rio via Cologne and Nice!
The Automnales in the 10th With The Automnales, the Hector Berlioz Conservatory inaugurates a new cultural event that will mark each start of season, from September to November.
True to its vocation, the conservatory affirms its role as a place of life, creation and artistic dissemination, open to all.
Carnival Beyond the festive and colourful parade of current carnivals, it is a collective imagination made of dreams, mystical masks, fantastic characters, dances and moments of communion that the Isar Quartet wants to highlight.
The carnival is a way for artists to share classical repertoire and original arrangements for saxophone quartet with the public.
With the objective of creating a real artistic universe, this program allows the Isar Quartet to collaborate with different artists such as costume designers, makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers, graphic designers, orchestras, artistic directors, arrangers or composers.
This journey around carnivals features masterpieces in unprecedented versions and introduces the repertoire and colours of the saxophone quartet. Isar Quartet; Credits: Isar Quartet The Isar Quartet is a saxophone quartet that was formed in 2021 within the Nantes Conservatory.
Antoine, Casilde, Nino and Élie met during their S2TMD baccalaureate at Nelson Mandela High School. All four students in classical saxophone class, they study chamber music with their teacher Nicolas Herrouët as well as with Ludovic Frochot or Jean-Yves Chevalier.
In 2022, the quartet won the Carquefou international competition. Noticed several times in conservatory competitions, it is scheduled for the Thursday Musical Hours and for the Angers Nantes opera season at the Graslin Theatre.
