Célia Kameni

Talented jazz singer and Victoires du Jazz nominee in 2021, Célia Kameni explores new horizons with Méduse, a daring project in which her deep, textured voice blends with inventive instrumentation. Célia Kameni breaks free from traditional classifications with a personal project of luminous singularity. In Méduse, her voice becomes a vibrant channel for the emotions that words leave unspoken. Echoes of Nina Simone and Moses Sumney run through her music, creating sounds on the border between jazz, experimental music and electronica. Supported by a sympathetic quartet with inventive textures, Méduse is an exploration of the intimate, an emotional wave that is impossible to resist.

The press has said: "Célia Kameni is grace embodied. Who can sing with such extreme slowness, so agile and with such delicacy, nuance and poetry [...] Captivating, truly, she is just as much on stage with her magnetic aura and natural grace. We can't wait to discover the album from her Méduse project, which she already performs on stage. A palette without borders that explores many moods, always on the edge of emotion."
