Following on from his book Le Pouvoir Rhétorique, Clément Viktorovitch, a doctor in political science, known for his popularisations on France Info, Clique or Quotidien, appears for the first time in a biting fictional play. He plays the communication advisor to the President of the Republic who, after being brutally ousted, seeks revenge. His weapon? A conference, in which he decides to reveal all the secrets they used to seize power...
Through this first solo show, Clément Viktorovitch does more than just provide tools for deciphering: he questions the very place of discourse in our political lives. When words are emptied of their content, when communication boils down to an art of not speaking, how can we still form an opinion? Is it even possible to debate? And what if, what we have lost along the way, was simply... the very meaning of democracy? Production: Gilles Mattana/Agoram Productions and l'Académie Rhétorique.
