Overview
Self-taught, Danyl began producing very early on, both for himself and for others. A songwriter, composer and beatmaker, he is among the first artists to create tracks live on the Twitch platform. Danyl is Franco-Algerian and draws on raï sounds to build his musical universe. Inspired by his dual culture and the modernity of his era, he releases sounds he gathers under the name Khedma (meaning "work" in Arabic).
« En France j'suis qu'un arabe de plus et au bled j'suis un zmigri », Danyl marvels in the track Mazel. "Zmig" or "Zmigri", derived from the French word "émigré", is the pejorative term used by Algerians to refer to French people of North African origin. By choosing to title his first album this way, the young Parisian decides to turn this stigma into a double richness. First album ZMIG, released on 16 January 2026.
