Overview
Autodidact, Danyl started producing very early on, both for himself and for others. Singer-songwriter and beatmaker, he is one of the first artists to create tracks live on the Twitch platform. Danyl is French-Algerian and draws on raï sounds to build his musical universe.
Inspired by his dual culture and the modernity of his era, he releases tracks which he brings together under the name Khedma (work in Arabic). "In France I'm just another Arab and back home I'm a zmigri," Danyl marvels in the track Mazel.
"Zmig" or "Zmigri", derived from the French word "émigré", is the pejorative term used by Algerians to refer to French people of North African origin. By choosing to name his first album after this, the young Parisian decides to turn this stigma into a dual wealth.
First album ZMIG, released on 16 January 2026.
