Overview
Self-taught, Danyl started producing very early on, both for himself and others. A songwriter, composer and beatmaker, he is among the first artists to create tracks live on the Twitch platform. Danyl is Franco-Algerian and draws on raï sounds to build his musical universe.
Inspired by his dual culture and the modernity of his era, he releases tracks which he brings together under the name Khedma ("work" in Arabic). "In France I'm just another Arab and back home I'm a zmigri", Danyl marvels in the track Mazel.
"Zmig" or "Zmigri", derived from the French word "émigré", is the pejorative term used by Algerians to refer to French people of North African origin. By choosing to name his debut album thus, the young Parisian decides to turn this stigma into a dual wealth.
Debut album ZMIG, released on 16 January 2026.
