Enfant terrible who refuses jazz codes, Daoud imagines music carried by a sense of inadequacy, which shakes frames without seeking to please and touches both curious novices and purists.

The ensemble is crossed by the same tension: between play and gravity, chaos and softness, irony and sincerity. With ok, his new album released on ACT in 2025, he signs a personal manifesto tinged by fall and repetition - but also by the self-denial necessary to start over again.

All around the music, the artist builds a raw visual universe, marked both by provocation and juvenile letting-go, a return to childhood not to reassure, but to unearth contradictions. Fragility, impermanence, satire - the aesthetic assumes the flaw rather than hiding it.

On stage, Daoud and his group play with rules, between restrained lyricism and eruption. They string together sold-out concerts and remarkable appearances, from Ronnie Scott's in London to Montreux Jazz Festival, passing through North Sea Jazz Festival.

In parallel, Daoud composes and produces for others, never losing the thread of an increasingly free and uncompromising personal approach.
