Dayseeker

Dayseeker often describes itself as a "sad rock" group, but it goes well beyond melancholy. Originally from Southern California, the band turns hardship and pain into powerful, emotional music that offers comfort to those who feel alone.

For Rory Rodriguez, music was an escape from a difficult environment, and Dayseeker wants to offer that same refuge to its listeners. Since 2012, the band has prioritised authenticity and vulnerability in its lyrics and music.

Their album Sleeptalk (2019) marked a more melodic and introspective turning point, followed by Dark Sun (2022), inspired by the loss of Rodriguez's father.

Their unique style, at the crossroads of pop-rock and metalcore, has earned them more than 600 million streams and growing recognition.

Their new album, Creature in the Black Night, is the band's most immersive yet, blending a dark atmosphere with themes of inner struggle, betrayal and addiction.

Despite an sometimes gloomy mood, Dayseeker's music aims to be honest and liberating, moving between anger, clarity and self-affirmation. " Dayseeker has not only evolved: the band has transcended itself.
