Overview
Der Assistent at POPUP!
Super! presents Der Assistent on 29 April 2027 at POPUP!
Der Assistent: Der Assistent is the project of Berlin producer Tom Hessler. His dub-tinged pop tracks take us to a place where melancholy and happiness become one.
His "one-man band" blends Timmy Thomas-style grooves, jazzy Casio sounds, typical West Coast woodwinds and, on occasion, a solo of amateur guitar. His dreamlike narratives drift between mystery, detective fiction and romance. All of it delivered with total ease, to constantly radiate positive vibes.
