About — The artist
Suffocation is an American death metal band from Centereach, Long Island, New York. Formed in 1988, they are one of the first bands, if not the first, to play brutal death metal. The singer, Frank Mullen, is also recognised for being the first to popularise the low, guttural vocals that now characterise this musical genre.
