Attention, due to excessive heat that may affect the health of records as well as sellers, the discomarket is postponed to the start of autumn, Saturday 26 September. On this lovely spring day, Médiathèque Françoise Sagan invites you to the sixth edition of its 100% vinyl day. On the programme, record brocante of all kinds and DJ sets by Radio Paradis, to be savoured in the superb media library garden.
Since its opening, Médiathèque Françoise Sagan has had a collection of borrowable vinyl records, initially limited to electronic music and consisting essentially of references available only in this format.
This collection has since expanded to other genres – soul, funk, rap, reggae, pop-rock, soundtracks, world music – and now counts over 900 titles.
Since then, Médiathèque Musicale de Paris, Yourcenar, Jean-Pierre Melville media libraries, Couronnes, Lancry, Parmentier, Violette Leduc and Goutte d'Or libraries also offer this service.
The network of specialized libraries is also rich in the Médiathèque Musicale de Paris Sound Archives collection (100,000 records) and the children's music collection from the Heure Joyeuse heritage fund.
To celebrate the return of the microgroove in the Paris network, Médiathèque Françoise Sagan invites you to the sixth edition of its Discomarket, a day entirely dedicated to vinyl with: - Record sales by diggers - DJ sets with Radio Paradis and its Sound System - Discovery of Médiathèque Françoise Sagan's vinyl collection.
