Overview
Please note, due to the extreme heat that could affect the health of both the records and the sellers, the discomarché has been postponed to the start of the new season, Saturday 26 September. This lovely spring, the Médiathèque Françoise Sagan brings you the sixth edition of its all-vinyl day. On the programme, a record fair of all kinds and DJ sets provided by Radio Paradis, to enjoy in the media library's beautiful garden.
Since it opened, the Médiathèque Françoise Sagan has had a collection of borrowable vinyl records, originally limited to electronic music and made up mainly of titles only available in this format.
This collection has since expanded to other genres — soul, funk, rap, reggae, pop-rock, soundtracks, world music — and now numbers more than 900 titles.
Since then, the Médiathèque Musicale de Paris, the Yourcenar and Jean-Pierre Melville media libraries, and the Couronnes, Lancry, Parmentier, Violette Leduc and Goutte d'Or libraries have also begun offering this service.
The network of specialist libraries is also home to the Sound Archives collection of the Médiathèque Musicale de Paris (100,000 records) and the children's music collection from the Heure Joyeuse heritage fund.
To celebrate the return of the record to the Paris library network, the Médiathèque Françoise Sagan invites you to the sixth edition of its Discomarché, a day entirely devoted to vinyl, with: - Record sales by diggers - DJ sets with Radio Paradis and its Sound System - Discover the Médiathèque Françoise Sagan's vinyl collection Free entry
