Since meeting in 2018 on the roads of Corsica, Fanou Torracinta and Hugo Guezbar have built an instrumental dialogue of rare finesse.

What could have been just a fleeting collaboration, born under the sun of the Île de Beauté, has grown into a partnership and an artistic project, now embodied in their new album: "Guitare de notre monde".

This title, far from incidental, reflects their wish to share acoustic guitar as they understand it, built above all on the chemistry that particularly defines these two musicians. The duo's balance rests on a natural complementarity.

At 31, Fanou Torracinta brings the maturity of a composer who has infused his Corsican roots into a gypsy-jazz aesthetic, creating a singular musical identity. Alongside him, Hugo Guezbar, 25, confirms his status as an unmissable figure of Paris's young guard.

This prodigy from Montpellier, whose name is spoken with growing insistence in the capital's clubs, impresses with a musicality of great precision.

Far from any technical one-upmanship or empty display of force, their playing is defined by fluid connection, a shared breath where every melodic phrase seems to naturally extend the other's. Their repertoire is grounded in a rigorous mastery of Django Reinhardt's legacy.

And yet it is precisely in opening up and breaking free from convention that the duo finds its true voice. Together, they explore, drawing on South American standards, reworking the master's improvisations.
