TANA JAZZ NIGHT / Autour de Cécile McLorin, avec Flore Benguigui

Some evenings start with a concert and end as a party. TANA JAZZ NIGHT is one of them.

The TANAs? They are four essential musicians from the Parisian jazz scene: vocalist Elise Vassallucci, double bassist Louise Knobil, pianist Sarah Kay, and drummer Véra Campos Krasutskaya. For this first evening, they invite singer, author, and composer Flore Benguigui to present a 'femmage' to the composer and icon Cécile McLorin Salvant. An evening to celebrate the abundant imagination of one of the most singular and fascinating voices in contemporary jazz. Between humour, emotions, jazz standards, and feminist texts, the TANAs celebrate an artist who highlights invisible figures, often female, neglected by musical history. The TANAs continue the evening with a jam session under the sign of celebration. Glitter, music, for and by everyone. The jam first opens with chosen mixed-gender participation, then the party takes over, one that belongs to no one in particular and to everyone at once.
