Le vivant en partage

Since the loss of their grandmothers, Yemma and Vóvó, Rita and Alma are heavy-hearted. Inside them, something rumbles like a storm: there are trapped rages, blocked tears, clouds ready to burst. To find some calm, the two friends decide to summon spirits and to see the invisible beyond the living. Through rituals of their own invention, they call up the memories of their grandmothers. Now it is their turn to tell the stories that were told to them. Behind every plant, stone or beast lies the tale of a metamorphosis. Before our eyes, the tales come to life: we encounter the Woman with a Lion's Mane and the Woman who became a cave, chimeric women who were transformed after holding in their emotions for too long.

The show shows us that our grandmothers, wherever they may be, have the power to help us grow and to weather our storms. This piece, with its many languages, shows how much stories have the effect of magic, and reminds us that grief is not forgetting, but continuing to keep the strength of memory alive within us.
