I Will Survive: hit, back by popular demand! The sensation of the 25-26 season, the latest creation by Les Chiens de Navarre returns to the T/SQY.
In this explosive show, by turns hilarious and poignant, France's most turbulent company settles its score with the violence of men against women. Biting! Any resemblance to real events is absolutely not coincidental in this fictional story that interweaves two destinies.
On the drama side, the ordeal of a woman who killed her husband after suffering his violence for years. On the farce side, the grotesque entanglements of a comedian who made a bad joke about battered women during his daily radio column.
With an art of editing that has nothing to envy from cinema, Les Chiens de Navarre link these two stories to better point out, with their usual ferocity, the dysfunctions, contradictions and hypocrisies of our society when it comes to violence against women.
Still as punk as ever, their irreverence, the trademark of 25 years, takes on a new gravity here, matching the questions raised: why is it so difficult for victims of violence to be heard and to obtain justice? Can we really laugh at everything? Duration: 2h00
