After revisiting the repertoires of Fauré and Moondog, Olivier Mellano proposes a plunge into the musical universe of David Lynch, where a few notes suffice to resurgence the bewitching strangeness of these scenes bathed in venomous glamour, sophisticated fury or uneasy lullabies, whose mystery we will never pierce.
Between dream pop, industrial goth, or hypnotic jazz, we will float in an inverted dream, carried by the wonders of Jimmy Scott, Samuel Barber, Chris Isaak, Roy Orbison, Nine Inch Nails, Julee Cruise, and of course, the emblematic compositions of Angelo Badalamenti.
As in the opening scene of Blue Velvet, we will enter the ear of David Lynch with about ten highly accomplished performers, devoted body and soul to his powerful and singular work, for the sound passage through a filmography whose greatest moments are inseparable from music.
