Aurélia Lüscher and Estelle Meyer take on the text by Spanish author Paco Bezerra for a colourful evocation of Saint Teresa of Ávila!

What if Teresa of Ávila, the Spanish patron saint, the first woman proclaimed Doctor of the Church, returned among us? What if this mystic, sanctified after enduring the wrath of the Inquisition, found herself resurrected ahead of time?

What if, once her relics, scattered to the four corners of the world, were recovered, she dedicated herself to a new life, traversing the margins of contemporary Spanish society, still and always dissident and free?

This is the insolent and humorous proposition of Spanish author Paco Bezerra, which Aurélia Lüscher takes on for the staging and Estelle Meyer for the acting and singing. From the former, we know her taste for willingly iconoclastic shows and the small-scale stage production.

From the latter, we know her flame and ardour, her spirituality and fervour. Both share women's fight for equality and freedom, and faith in theatre as a ritual.

Accompanied by the music of DJ and composer Deena Abdelwahed, their collaboration thus promises a high-intensity show, making theatre the place of all miracles…
