Jojo Bernard

Following a successful national tour with "Sa M’Sul Tro!!", comedian Jojo Bernard returns to the stage with a new one-man show on the theme of travel. With broken English and having never flown before, our small-town lad from the North set off in search of inspiration, aiming to "find the biggest beauf on the planet" during a journey through dangerous Australia and its surroundings. From his native North to his readjustment to life in France, Jojo Bernard recounts his hilarious odyssey in a format halfway between sketch and stand-up, as absurd as ever but with a new maturity that reminds us that, in the end, we are always somebody else's beauf…

The adventure of the café-théâtre began in 1975 with La Veuve Pichard, created by Martin Lamotte, Anémone, Gérard Lanvin… before being taken over and renamed Le Point Virgule by Christian Varini and Marie Caroline Burnat. In 2005, Jean Marc Dumontet took over the management. A venue that has established itself as an essential stop, revealing many talents who are now major figures on the comedy scene. It is a place that artists never forget: it is the memory of their beginnings, almost like a first love.

Over time, Le Point Virgule has become a brand across France, thanks to all the artists and an ever-growing audience. For this year, which marks its history, the smallest of the major Parisian venues is offering five months of wild programming from 1 May to 30 September 2025, featuring artists from every generation who have shaped its history, as well as the growing new generation.

We wanted to celebrate this anniversary with the public, so we are launching a call for video or audio testimonies: "You came to Le Point Virgule! In which year? Which artist did you see? Tell us your memory in a few seconds." Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming you from May to September at Le Point Virgule in the Marais.
