( -,,, ) Cyril Kamar, Marchand d'Art(s) The story of Cyril Kamar (aka KMaro) begins in the 1980s. From a childhood marked by the Lebanese War, the country where he was born, to the 1990s, when his family emigrated to Montreal, Cyril Kamar has always lived surrounded by music.

First lulled by French chanson, it was in Canada that he discovered urban cultures. He very early built a solid reputation in the Montreal underground after winning several freestyle competitions with his first hip hop group, LMDS.

His style and self-assurance drew attention, and from the age of 17, this prodigy founded his own production company, blending creation and management.

For several years, moving between Montreal and New York, he mixed with breakers, graffiti artists and DJs, and gradually learned what would become his trademark: a subtle balance between business sense and artistic daring.

But it was in 2004 that the Montreal artist was propelled towards international success. His album La good Life sold millions of copies worldwide. Driven by the hit Femme Like U, now a cult favourite, it reached number one on the charts in more than 18 countries.

Such was the success that at that time he was the most listened to, most broadcast and most exported artist in France. After three hit albums and a gruelling sold-out tour, Cyril Kamar felt the need to step away from the media frenzy.

The producer in him needed to find his way back to anonymity and the studio. He then devoted himself to developing a very young artist he had spotted and who was still little known to the general public: Shy'm.

Within a few years, Shy'm became one of the most influential French artists of her era, with more than two million albums sold. A resounding success, of which Cyril Kamar was both the producer and the architect.
