Overview
A theatrical adaptation of La Châtelaine de Vergy, a medieval tale of a secret love, presented at Acting International, a concert and show venue in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
La Châtelaine de Vergy is a medieval tale recounting a lady's secret love for a knight, caught between the loyalty owed to her lord and the force of her feeling. This theatre show brings the story to the stage of Acting International, a concert and show venue in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
The cast brings together Amaël Dugain, Elio Laumond, Sarah Aoudja-Soumagnac, Bastien Rouillé and Mathilde Morell. The register is that of theatre: the actors' playing and delivery bring out a courtly tragedy in which silence and restraint hold a central place.
The venue hosts concerts and shows, and this performance is aimed at audiences curious about ancient texts staged for today. The spectator discovers a story that still questions the place of desire in the face of honour and the given word.
