LA DISPARITON DE JOSEF MENGELE
Cie L'idée du Nord
1949: Josef Mengele arrives in Buenos Aires. Hiding under a false identity, the former Auschwitz doctor and torturer believes he can build a new life for himself. Juan and Evita Perón's Argentina is welcoming, and the whole world wants to forget the Nazi crimes. What follows is Josef Mengele's wandering through South America until his mysterious death on a beach in Brazil in 1979. How did the SS doctor slip through the net for thirty years and enjoy such impunity? Adapted from Olivier Guez's work, La Disparition de Josef Mengele is a true-life novel of his post-war fugitive years, one of the greatest manhunts of the late 20th century.
