Overview
Ladaniva, the group fronted by the gifted voice of Jaklin Baghdasaryan and the French multi-instrumentalist Louis Thomas, champions a world music of rare richness that brings together sonic memories from all their travels.
Blending Armenian traditional music with that of the Balkans, from maloya to reggae, their music transcends folklore to create a singular and explosive identity, that of Ladaniva.
Global hits follow, such as "Kef Chilini", which has become an anthem sung at every celebration in the Armenian diaspora and has amassed more than 26 million views on YouTube, "Shakar", their zesty pop hit, and "Jako", which was broadcast to tens of millions of viewers at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, where Ladaniva represented Armenia.
