About — The artist
Ladaniva is a French-Armenian world music group from Lille. The group was founded in 2019 by Jaklin Baghdasaryan, singer, and Louis Thomas, multi-instrumentalist. Their musical style draws inspiration from world music, particularly traditional Balkan music, Maloya, and Armenian folklore. The group's name comes from a very rustic Russian 4x4, the Lada Niva.
The group represented Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song Jako.
