Overview
Ladaniva, the group fronted by the gifted vocalist Jaklin Baghdasaryan and the French multi-instrumentalist Louis Thomas, champions a world music of rare richness that brings together the sonic memories of all their travels.
Blending Armenian traditional music with that of the Balkans, maloya and reggae, their music transcends folk traditions to forge a singular and explosive identity, that of Ladaniva.
There followed worldwide hits such as "Kef Chilini", which has become an anthem sung at every celebration within the Armenian diaspora and has amassed more than 26 million views on YouTube, "Shakar", their bright pop hit, and "Jako", which was broadcast to tens of millions of viewers at Eurovision 2024, where Ladaniva represented Armenia.
