Overview
When Lambrini Girls burst onto the scene at the start of the decade, they immediately made their intentions clear: a direct message, a perfectly embraced anger, and a desire to galvanise the left while pissing off the right.
Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Bo gelmez established themselves as the band some would have preferred never to see appear, but whom we all needed.
With Who Let The Dogs Out, their debut album released in 2025, the duo saw their music take on a scale and cross borders they undoubtedly never imagined.
Armed with courage, humour, and a particularly delightful sense of chaos on stage, they seemed to have reached a peak just as the world seemed to be plunging into madness. It is in this context that No Refunds arrives, a darker record, even more direct, and above all more radical.
An album tailored for an era where almost nothing seems to make sense anymore. Genocide, fascism, the rise of artificial intelligence, a plunge into the most sordid corners of the manosphere: the tracks draw up a brutal and chilling inventory of the horrors of our time.
That all these threats, each terrifying in its own way, should emerge simultaneously in barely two years since the band's debut says a lot about the necessity, for Lunny and Macieira-Bo gelmez, of putting this era to music.
