Lambrini Girls

Lambrini Girls at Élysée Montmartre

When Lambrini Girls burst onto the scene at the start of the decade, they immediately made their colours clear: a confrontational message, anger worn entirely without apology, and a determination to rally the left while getting right up the nose of the right. Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez quickly established themselves as the band some would have preferred never to appear, but one we all needed.

With Who Let The Dogs Out, their first album released in 2025, the duo saw their music gain considerable momentum and cross borders they probably never imagined. Armed with courage, humour and a particularly delightful sense of chaos on stage, they seemed to have reached a peak just as the world appeared to be tipping into madness.

It is in this context that No Refunds arrives, a darker, even more confrontational and above all more radical record. An album tailored to an era in which almost nothing seems to make sense any more. Genocide, fascism, the rise of artificial intelligence, and a plunge into the most sordid corners of the "manosphere": the tracks take brutal and chilling stock of the horrors of our time.

That all these threats, each terrifying in its own way, should have emerged simultaneously in barely two years since the band's formation speaks volumes about the need, for Lunny and Macieira-Boşgelmez, to set this era to music.
