Le Malade Imaginaire - Centre Culturel Guy Gambu, Saint-Marcel

LE MALADE IMAGINAIRE Everyone knows Le Malade Imaginaire, Molière's ultimate work. Well, that is what we thought until now! If Molière had written Le Malade Imaginaire today, would Argan be addicted to antidepressants? Would Toinette carry on working?

… It is this journey that Tigran Mekhitarian offers you with his modern version of Le Malade Imaginaire, a theatre production of the highest order, driven by an extraordinary direction of actors. An urban tale, both impetuous and subversive.

A fable in which violence resonates as a cry for help. A savage satire that induces vertigo. An indictment that, through rap, dance and song, breathes radical and seditious modernity into the play.

For Le Malade Imaginaire ultimately reminds us of a simple, essential thing that we nonetheless too often forget: one must always extend a hand to those who need it most. Director/choreographer: Tigran Mekhitarian With: Argan – Tigran Mekhitarian
