In an isolated château where an interfaith wedding is being prepared, two families gather to unite David, a dreamy poet, and Leïla, a brilliant surgeon. But David's father, who has travelled from far away, has not turned up.

Incidents follow one another: a power cut, no network coverage, family tensions and Leïla's mysterious fainting spells. For months, she has been dreaming of an ancient love between two people from enemy peoples. In her visions, they must complete five trials before they can love each other.

Just as Leïla quietly leaves the château for medical tests, David too begins to have strange experiences. Little by little, the dreams, the family legends and the past of the two lovers seem to converge.

Blending family comedy, romance and spiritual quest, Le Mariage de David et Leïla tells the struggle of two people who seek to freely choose love beyond differences, beliefs and inheritances.
