In an isolated castle where an interfaith wedding is being prepared, two families gather to unite David, a dreamy poet, and Leïla, a brilliant surgeon. But David's father, who has travelled a long distance, is missing. Incidents follow one another: a power cut, no network, family tensions, and Leïla's mysterious ailments. For months, she has been dreaming of an ancient love between two beings from enemy peoples. In her visions, they must complete five trials to be able to love each other. As Leïla discreetly leaves the castle for medical examinations, David also begins to experience strange things. Little by little, dreams, family legends, and the past of the two lovers seem to converge. Between family comedy, romance, and a spiritual quest, Le Mariage de David et Leïla tells the story of two beings fighting to freely choose love beyond differences, beliefs, and inheritances.
